Titans look to get back on track against Lions

I don't think anybody expected the Tennessee Titans to go unbeaten this season. However, the loss to the Jets last Sunday was troublesome. The Jets dominated the game. The Titans' defense couldn't get off the field, and the offense couldn't find any consistency until it was too late. Even though it was a bad performance, the Titans still maintain a three-game divisional lead.

Of course, on Thursday, the Titans play at Detroit on Thanksgiving. The Lions are clearly the worst team in the league with a woeful 0-11 record. However, I'm a little concerned about the Titans emotional state. After getting whipped by the Jets, they only have four days to prepare for the Lions. Plus, I don't see them being that motivated about having to play on a holiday against a lousy team.

However, they are the better team. So, I'm going to roll with them.

The pick: Tennessee 28 Detroit 21

Other picks: Indianapolis over Cleveland, Houston over Jacksonville, Dallas over Seattle, New York Jets over Denver, New England over Pittsburgh

Last week: 2-4 (.333), Overall: 45-26 (.634)

TN defense couldn't get off the field 'cause they kept getting penalized. What was it, 6 pass interference calls? Some new guys there I guess.
And the Lions have come close to beating some pretty good teams. I don't think that game will be a 'gimme'. Talk about something to prove, the Lions, at home with nothing to lose, on national TV on Thanksgiving? I hope Coach Fisher has the team doing some serious practice this week so that the actual game will seem like a picnic.

I think the Titans will run the ball down their throat. Lendale White has something to prove after last week.

Titans 47 Lions 10. I don't want to take anything away from the Titans, but the Lions are awful. This was the first time I've seen them play this year. Terrible.

They've been pretty mediocre for quite a while but not this bad. And they got close in games against some pretty good teams. It's almost like they've lost interest. I can't remember when the Lions had a really good team.
